The Summit EL Medical Ultra Low Temperature NSF-7 Chest Freezers are designed for the storage of cold temperature vaccines, pharmaceuticals, and other medical materials. The operating temperature can be adjusted in single degree increments between -10° and -45°C (Celsius Only) for the lowest levels of cold storage. There are five different sizes of EL Model Freezers, ranging from 4.8 to 15.5 cubic feet of storage capacity, in order to fit the space requirements of any facility. Because some laboratory operations may require the display temperature to be different from the internal temperature, the Ultra Low Chest Freezers can be set with an offset temperature of +/- 12° C. Both the digital LED display and temperature controls are conveniently located on the front of the Medical Freezer Chests.
The interiors of the Ultra Low Temperature Freezers are insulated with 4.5 in thick walls to prevent temperature changes from affecting the stored contents. Summit Laboratory Chest Freezers defrost manually, which keeps temperatures more stable than automatic defrost cycles, which cause temperature fluctuations. A water drain outlet on the front of the Medical Freezers makes draining defrosted water easy. The lid of the Chest Freezers features a locking lid that lifts smoothly with easy-open handles and counterbalanced hinges that will stay open if lifted past 45°. Transporting even the largest Chest Deep Freezer is easy, thanks to four casters on the base. The Summit EL Series is UL-S listed to NSF and ANSI standards for sanitation and operates cleanly, without chlorofluorocarbons (CFCs).
