For accurate temperature control, Accucold™ Refrigerators use an air temperature sensor and a separate buffered temperature probe encased in a glycol-filled bottle. With accurate temperature readings, the Medical Refrigerators can provide a ±1° variation in temperature. On the front exterior of the Full Size Refrigerator is the control panel which houses an LED display and is powered by an intelligent microprocessor. The digital thermostat is also located on the control panel which lets users precisely adjust the interior temperature of the Medical Refrigerator from 35.6° to 46.4°F (2 to 8° C) without having to open the door unnecessarily. Minimum/maximum internal temperatures are also displayed on the control panel and are updated every 15 minutes. The temperature can be displayed in either metric (Celsius) or imperial (Fahrenheit) units.

To prevent ice buildup and temperature spikes, the Medical Refrigerators have an automatic defrost cycle which can be adjusted by users. Accucold™ Full Size Medical Refrigerators have multiple alarms to alert staff when their appliance is not operating under optimal conditions. Audible and visual alarms will trigger if there has been a disruption to the temperature sensor or if the internal temperature has exceeded the set range. Additional alarms will sound when the power has been disrupted or when the door has been left open for more than 4 minutes. Users can adjust the duration of the open door alarm from 1 to 99 minutes. For users who want to connect the alarm system of the Medical Refrigerator to an external remote system, the electronic controller features remote alarm contacts located at the rear exterior of the appliance.
