The 1100 ml Gomco disposable collection canister has a flexible lid that creates an airtight seal. It closes with a snap sound which ensures that it is securely closed. The container is designed to minimize restriction to flow which enhances the performance of the vacuum pump. It features a horizontal, removable patient tubing inlet to prevent tubing occlusion. The canister functions as a closed system with the closing of all ports.
The 1100 ml disposable canister features a built-in hydrophobic filter shut-off system which automatically shuts off suction as fluids arrive near the top of the canister. When fluids or foam reach the filter, the canister will discontinue filling and will be leak-tight for final disposal. The hydrophobic filter also incorporates a pre-filter designed for use with laser surgery. The canister's large pour spout can serve as an accessory port when specimen collection is required. There is a large area on the container on which to write patient information.
