The Allied Healthcare L554 reusable manual resuscitator is an autoclavable, rear-fill, manual resuscitation system available in infant sizes. The silicone bag gives an estimated "feel" for the patient's respiratory response.
The patient valve and connectors are constructed from durable polysulfone, which can be cleaned via autoclave at 270?F (132?C) for increased longevity. If connected to a low flow oxygen source, FiO2 concentrations are delivered between 73% and 97%. If coupled with a L471 bag refill valve, it delivers 100% oxygen. For infant patients, there are optional relief valves that activate at 45 cm H2O for more patient comfort.
