In response to the americans with disabilities act (ADA) compliance, the dual ramps adhere to a 1:8 slope ratio, extra large platform with front stop for pass through weighing and extra long, extended dual ramps with edge protection. Befour's wheelchair scale folds into a compact design to roll effortlessly to the next location on four hidden wheels, two that pivot. Transport and storage is both safe and simple. Width: wheelchair spaces shall be 36" wide minimum. Exception: wheelchair spaces located on raised platforms shall be permitted to be 32" wide minimum to a height of 4" meas-ured from the platform surface
Depth-pass through entry: where wheelchair space entry and exit permits pass through from one end to the other, the wheelchair space shall be 40" deep minimum
Platform edge protection: where wheelchair spaces are provided on a platform raised more than 11/2" in height, edge protection 2" high minimum measured from the surface of the platform shall be provided on each side not providing entry to or exit from the equipment
Running slope: ramp runs shall have a running slope not steeper than 1:12. Exception: a running slope not steeper than 1:8 shall be permitted for ramp runs with a maximum height of 21/2".
Ramp edge protection: ramps with drop offs 1/2" or greater shall provide edge protection 2" high minimum on each side with a drop off
Footprint of folded scale is 42" x 12", is self-supporting for safe transport and storage, and will fit through all standard doorways
