Metro seismic sway brace kits for site specific approvals.
Metro sway braces connect to the super erecta shelving posts to provide additional rigidity. These components can be used to potentially earn a site specific approval for seismic applications when used in conjunction with staked posts, seismic threaded foot plates, and seismic post clamps.
Sway braces are required for qwikslot and drop mat qwikslot shelving when seismic anchoring is required (optional for super erecta and super adjustable super erecta). Sway braces include clamps and hardware for mounting to 1" round posts. Two end kits and one back kit are used per shelving unit.
When a site approval is required, Metro recommends that these options are reviewed with the engineer of record or local inspector prior to purchase. Requirements may vary from one jurisdiction to the next.
