Extra Deep (XD) design creates added capacity for increased storage space. The added space accommodates longer items and presents a novel lean two-bin approach for protected supply management. Shelves can be repositioned easily and can be set from horizontal up to a +/- 20 degree angle for (-) supply containment or (+) optimum visibility and accessibility, especially for the upper shelves. All preconfigured units come standard with (8) XD shelves installed at a 20 degree up angle.
The Starsys Extra Depth (XD) Tall Products deliver 20% more storage capacity than standard Starsys. Occupying the same footprint as mobile Starsys with wire shelves, Starsys XD increases the utility of available storage space by storing more without taking up more floor space. The ability to slant a shelf enhances access to and visibility of contents stored. The availability of shelf dividers, label holder and bins provides organization of those contents. Starsys XD accommodate bins up to 24" (610mm) [or two bins deep up to 12" (305mm)] to support Lean or Two-Bin Kanban configurations.
Starsys XD products have a heavy duty polymer exterior that includes Microban antimicrobial product protection to help keep surfaces cleaner between cleaning.

Body
High-density polyethylene (HDPE) side panels and ABS polymer top and bottom shrouds. All exterior polymer surfaces contain Microban antimicrobial product protection.
Frame
Baked-on epoxy-coated cold-rolled steel (CRS) top and bottom frames with ABS polymer shrouds, attached to four extruded clear anodized aluminum posts with chrome plated slotted inserts, with 1" (25mm) shelf adjustability.
Standard Casters
Four 5" diameter polyurethane casters, two front casters with easily accessed toe brakes and two rear swivel casters.
Door
Blow molded HDPE, with Microban antimicrobial protection, door panel with epoxy coated CRS reinforcement. Optimal clear acrylic windows.
