Accucold's Pharma-Vac Performance Series offers upright all-refrigerators that are specifically designed and purpose-built for pharmacy, medication, and vaccine applications to support meeting CDC/VFC guidelines.

The ARG61PVBIADA is a 6 cu.ft. all-refrigerator with a temperature range of +2°C to +8°C. It stands just under 32" high to fit under lower counters, complying with ADA guidelines for accessibility. Designed for freestanding or recessed installation, it features an externally located microprocessor temperature controller to minimize door openings and protect stored contents from ambient temperature. The buffered temperature probe is encased in a glycol-filled bottle for accurate temperature simulation, with an additional sensor reading air temperature for superior control. The current and min/max temperature display is viewable in Celsius or Fahrenheit to the nearest tenth of a degree. Audible and visual temperature alarms sound if the unit's interior goes out of range, with additional alerts for power failure, door open, and sensor failure. Remote alarm contacts and a 0.5" probe port are included for additional monitoring devices. The unit also comes with a hospital-grade cord with a 'green dot' plug for added safety in high traffic areas.

Internally, the ARG61PVBIADA utilizes adjustable cycle defrost operation to avoid temperature spikes, and optimized forced air cooling with an internal fan ensures excellent temperature stability and uniformity. The adjustable plastic-coated wire shelves can be positioned at 0.5" increments to accommodate items of various sizes. LED internal lighting with an on/off rocker switch enhances visibility. The interior is constructed from white powder-coated metal for added durability and improved temperature retention.

The ARG61PVBIADA features a white cabinet finish with a blue accented control panel. The factory-installed antimicrobial handle, powder-coated with naturally occurring silver ions, helps reduce the spread of germs for a safer, cleaner user experience. The double-pane tempered glass door provides a full view of the interior. The user-reversible door ships with a right-hand swing and self-closing function (disabled once reversed to LHD), while a factory-installed lock ensures security with two keys for staff use. Powerful magnetic gaskets ensure a positive seal.

Designed with hydrocarbon refrigerant, the ARG61PVBIADA offers an energy-efficient solution to vaccine storage and is Pyxis, Omnicell, and AcuDose RX compatible.

Note: Accucold refrigerators are purpose-built to support meeting the current CDC (Centers for Disease Control) guidelines for the storage of vaccines. Units ending in suffix "456" have been certified to the new NSF 456 standard. As referenced in the current Vaccine Storage and Handling Toolkit, these units incorporate microprocessor controls and forced air circulation for stable operation between 2 and 8ºC. For additional temperature assurance, the CDC recommends a calibrated digital data logger (DDL), which can be added with the factory-installed option DL2B or addition of the DL2BKit accessory.
