BSN Medical Delta-Lite Plus Fiberglass Casting Tape is made from light weight fiberglass yarns that allows for a flexible yet rigid fit. The Cast Tape is secured with a slip agent surfactant for a plaster of paris-like sensation during working time for precise anatomical molding with high lamination between layers. The water activated polyurethane resin provides low tack properties allowing the use of your glove of choice. The Medical Cast Tape provides good pliability throughout the working time. The Delta-Lite cast is weight bearing within approximately 20 minutes. The smooth surface avoids snagging on clothes and linens and improves patient comfort.
Delta-Lite Plus Latex Free Casting Tape is available in four colors, pink, white, dark blue, and assorted. The assorted tape pack includes 2 dark blue, 2 light blue, 2 purple, 2 pink, and 2 red. The Synthetic Tape is available in either 2 inch by 4 yard size or 3 inch by 4 yard sizes to suit your needs.
To use the Cast Tape first submerge tape into room temperature water for 5 seconds. For a fast set time squeeze tape while submerged 2-3 times using firm pressure. For a longer set time do not squeeze tape while submerged. Remove from water and squeeze 2-3 times for a fast set time or shake to remove excess water for a longer set time. The more water that remains within the roll, the slower the set time.
