The Allied Healthcare XTRA backboard is unique in its rigid construction and x-ray translucence. While other backboards have sacrificed one trait over the other, the XTRA backboard has both in spades. This backboard can support up to 1,000 lbs without structural failure as well as being able to fit into any standard ambulance compartment. Eighteen handholds are included in the design, and the HDPE material makes it easy to clean and disinfect.
