Baseline Absolute Axis 360 Degree Goniometer

Details

Baseline goniometric Measurements require one arm of the goniometer to be positioned either horizontally or vertically. The other arm is then lined up with the patient's body. Until now, the practitioner had to assume or eyeball the vertical or horizontal position. Assuming that the goniometer is level or horizontal is often incorrect and introduces measurement errors to the entire process. The Absolute Axis goniometer removes this aspect of human error by establishing a true vertical or horizontal. The Absolute+Axis goniometer removes measurement variability and allows the practitioner to concentrate on correct placement of the other goniometer arm and the patient's body position.

The Absolute Axis is designed to improve many different measurements including: shoulder and hip rotation (internal and external); cervical flexion, extension, rotation, and side bending; hamstring flexibility; and active range of movement.

  • HiRes uses a white background behind markings for increased readability and contrast
  • Integral absolute vertical and horizontal levels are permanently incorporated
  • Permits observation of a joint's axis of motion and range of motion
  • Normal version uses standard grey background behind markings
  • One arm has a linear scale in inches and centimeters
  • Scale reads in 1 degree increments
