Preventative Maintenance Programs

Preventive Maintenance on your biomedical and mechanical equipment is a long term money saving concept that CME is able to assist you with. Upon your request our technicians will visit your facility and perform a thorough examination of the equipment in your facility. We will then provide you with a comprehensive quote that will list every piece of equipment in your office and its maintenance needs.

CME Preventative Maintenance Procedures for Biomedical Equipment:

(Autoclaves, Centrifuges, EKG Machines, Hyfrecators, Hand-held devices, Etc)

• Equipment is inspected and adjusted for proper operation and safety. Any minor parts which are missing or defective will be replaced immediately. Any piece of equipment requiring major repair is labeled with a defective tag and facility contact is notified with all pertinent information.
• Equipment is labeled with a bar/numerically coded control number along with an inspection sticker indicating test type(s), test results, next scheduled inspection, and the technician(s) that performed the work.
• Equipment data (Device Type, Make, Model, Serial, and Control Number) are entered into our state of the art medical equipment analyzer and software management systems.
• All data is stored and used for inventory tracking purposes and to build maintenance history

CME Preventative Maintenance Procedures for Non-Electrical Transport Type Equipment:

(Stretchers, Wheelchairs, IV Poles, Cribs, Case Carts, Etc)

• Equipment is thoroughly washed utilizing a hot water power washer with disinfectant cleaner. Equipment is then rinsed and dried. Note: When it’s not possible to use the washer, equipment will be hand cleaned and dried in their location of use.
• Equipment is inspected and adjusted for proper operation and safety. Any minor parts which are missing or defective will be replaced immediately. Any piece of equipment requiring major repair is labeled with a defective tag and facility contact is notified with all pertinent information.
• Equipment is labeled with a bar/numerically coded control number along with an inspection sticker indicating test type(s), test results, next scheduled inspection, and the technician(s) that performed the work.
• Equipment data (Device Type, Make, Model, Serial, and Control Number) are entered into an Excel database for inventory tracking purposes.
