For maintaining accurate temperatures, Accucold™ Vaccine Refrigerators use the combination of a buffered temperature probe that is encased in a glycol-filled bottle to simulate the temperature of a stored product and a separate air temperature sensor to offer a ±1° variation in temperature. The control panel on the exterior of the Compact Refrigerator houses a large LED display and is powered by an intelligent microprocessor. To prevent unnecessary openings of the Vaccine Refrigerator, the thermostat is located on the exterior as part of the control panel. The digital thermostat offers users more precise control of the temperature compared to a traditional dial thermostat and allows users to set the temperature from 35.6° to 46.4°F (2 to 8° C). High and low temperatures for the Compact Refrigerators are shown on the display to the nearest degree and are updated every 15 minutes. Users have the option of displaying measurements in either Celsius or Fahrenheit.

Accucold™ Medical Refrigerators feature multiple alarms to notify staff when their appliance is not operating under optimum conditions. When the internal temperature of the Refrigerator has exceeded the set temperature range, audible and visual alarms will alert staff. If the door has been left open for longer than 4 minutes, an audible alarm will serve as a reminder to close it. Users can adjust the amount of time before the alarm sounds (1 - 99 minutes). Any disruptions to the temperature sensor will trigger audible and visual alarms. Remote alarm contacts are located at the rear on the outside of the unit for any users that want to forward the alarms to an external remote system. An interior LED light helps improve visibility, but can also be turned off.
