The semi-rigidity of BSN's Delta-Cast® Soft Polyester Cast Tape is specifically designed to provide functional support for fractures or soft tissue injuries. By allowing limited movement, Semi-Rigid Cast Tape can help shorten the healing process by reducing immobilization-related problems and improving circulation. The flexibility can also reduce the risk complications due to tight casts, such as pressure sores.

Once set, Semi-Rigid Polyester Cast Tape may be easily cut with regular casting scissors and transformed into a removable cast or splint - See accessories below for edgers and hook and loop closures. Removable Casts are ideal for a variety of treatments, as they greatly reduce the inconvenience and risk of permanent casts, especially in long-term treatments.

Polyester Casting Tape is ideal for close-fitting casts that adhere to the body's contours. BSN's patented, latex-free polyester fabric is specially designed with multi-directional stretch, allowing it to easily conform to the body's different contours without requiring tucks or folds. This superior conformity results in a lighter, better-fitting cast without dangerous pressure points.

The specially formulated Synthetic Casting Resin is easy to mold with a reliable, controllable set time. The end lamination is secure, and the cast surface and edges are smooth and snag-free. The cast is 100% radiolucent, resulting in clearer x-rays that allow doctors to make accurate readings without unnecessarily removing the cast. With conscious effort, the cast is capable of being removed by unraveling, allowing the cast to be removed without the use of a messy cast saw.
